Reasons Why Some Struggle With Bullet Journaling

julio 18, 2022 3 lectura mínima

Bullet journaling can be a great way to manage your life and make sure you stay on top of things, but it's not the right fit for everyone.

It's time to get real about the struggles you're facing with your bullet journal. We know it's not as easy as you'd like it to be, and we want to help!

Bullet journaling can be intimidating at first—and it can feel like a lot of work to keep up with your daily schedule, goals, and more. But once you have a system down, it actually gets pretty easy.

Here are some reasons why some people struggle with bullet journaling:

They don't know where to start.

If you're new to the idea of using a bullet journal, it can be overwhelming to figure out where to begin. Bullet journals come in all shapes and sizes, with different layouts and styles—which one is right for you? How do you decide what goes where? And what if your life changes over time?

The good news is that there aren't any wrong ways to use a bullet journal! If something works for you and makes things easier, then keep doing it! But if something doesn't work anymore, then change things up! It's all about finding what works best for YOU and your needs at this moment in time—not worrying about whether or not other people think it's "correct."

They are using the wrong kind of notebook.

Bullet journaling can be done in any notebook. You may want to use a notebook that has thicker paper so it doesn’t bleed through when you write on both sides of the page.

Some people prefer spiral notebooks because they're easy to turn and write in, and others like to use composition books because they're cheaper. Whichever type you choose, make sure to use one that will hold up to your needs.

They are not taking enough time to plan ahead.

If you're rushing through your bullet journal because you don't have time, then something needs to change. Take some time each week to plan out your entire week so that there's no wasted space in your notebook. This will help keep things organised and make it easier for you to stay on top of things throughout the week instead of scrambling at the last minute!

They don't know how to use it effectively.

Bullet journals are so customizable that there's no one right way for everyone to do them. The best thing you can do is find a method that works for your lifestyle and stick with it! Once you've mastered one method, then try another. That way you'll have a variety of ways in which you can use your notebook and adapt as life changes around you.

They are worried about perfectionism.

Bullet journaling is all about letting loose and being creative—but if you're worried about making mistakes, you might find yourself feeling paralyzed by that pressure. There’s no need to get everything perfect on your first try. The point of bullet journaling is to experiment with different layouts and see what works best for you.

It takes time to develop a system, so give yourself permission to fail as much as you need before finding success!

They have too many other things going on in their life right now.

Maybe you're just starting your career or school, or maybe you have kids at home who need your attention all day long? It's totally understandable that sometimes you just don't feel like having another thing on your plate—and that's okay! Just remember that having something written down helps us focus better than trying to remember everything in our heads.

Bullet journals are not a one-size-fits-all system, and there's no one way to be successful with them. It is possible that you may feel overwhelmed, or even frustrated if you're just starting out. The important thing for you to keep in mind at these times is that this is normal, and it doesn't mean that you're doing anything wrong. Remember, the key to all of this is to have fun.

In the end, bullet journaling should help you to balance your life, set goals, and organise better; but the secret to its success ultimately lies within yourself: can you improve your life through constant organisation? Only you can decide that for yourself.

Art has always been associated with glamour, aesthetic allure, and perfection.

Each brush stroke or penmark is done in pursuit of an ideal.

However, amid this facade, there exists a perspective that transcends the superficial perspective of art.

Mary Jo Davis (@maryjokovarikdavis) sees art beyond the glitz and glamour.

For her, art is an avenue to express the depth of her emotions or better yet, her reality.
